FIELD: mechanical engineering, in particular, cyclone-type dust catching equipment used in vacuum cleaner.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus has admission channel for sucking air, first dust catching chamber adapted for catching of relatively large dust particles from dust laden air sucked through admission channel, second dust catching chamber adapted for catching of relatively small dust particles from air passed through first dust catching chamber, cyclone creating part which is designed so that it extends through first and second dust catching chambers for providing fluid communication therebetween, and dust separating unit provided in cyclone creating part and configured so as to encounter dust sucked through air admission channel and create vortex air flow in second dust catching chamber. In cyclone creating part there is discharge pipe for discharging of clean air. In vacuum cleaner comprising said cyclone-type dust catching apparatus, there is driving part for supplying vacuum to create suction force, said driving part being connected to discharge pipe.
EFFECT: compact, light-weight construction and increased efficiency by providing separate catching of large-sized as well as small-sized dust particles.
