FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to surgery, oncology and orthopedics, and can be used to harvest a free fibular flap with an elongated vascular pedicle. Mobilization and resection up to 10 cm of the proximal fibula are performed, then an additional resection of a fragment of the proximal condyle of the fibula is performed. From the obtained extended access, the vascular pedicle is isolated to the posterior tibial arteries and veins.
EFFECT: method allows to increase the length of the vascular pedicle of the free peroneal flap, to reduce the risk of injury to adjacent anatomical structures without increasing the frequency of potential complications associated with the donor area, due to the combination of techniques of the claimed invention.
