The method includes simultaneous intravenous drip administration of acyclovir at a dose of 10-15 mg/kg 3 times a day for 14-21 days, viferon rectally to children under 1 year of age at a dose of 150,000 I.U. 2 times a day for 14-21 days, from 1-7 years - 500,000 I.U. 2 times a day for 14-21 days, older than 7 years - 1 million I.U. 2 times a day for 14-21 days and vitamin D3 at a dose of 1000-3000 I.U. 1 time a day for 3-6 months.

EFFECT: present invention ensures high efficacy of treatment of viral encephalitis in children.
