FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to infectious diseases of the nervous system, neurology, and concerns a method of treating viral myelitis in children. When treating viral myelitis in children, with the exception of herpetic infection, the following is used: methylprednisolone, recombinant interferon-alpha2b, ribavirin; roncoleukin, immunoglobulin G in the above dosages according to the drug administration schedule and duration of their administration. In treating viral myelitis in children with herpetic infection, methylprednisolone, recombinant interferon-alpha2b, roncoleukin, immunoglobulin G, acyclovir are taken in the specified dosages according to the dosage regimen and duration of their administration.
EFFECT: invention provides optimizing the clinical course and improving the outcome of viral myelitis as a result of reducing the severity of paresis or their complete recovery due to the complex therapy; invention also enables treating children with viral myelitis and can find wide clinical application among specialists involved in diagnosing and treating neuroinfections.
