FIELD: timber, pulp and paper industries.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the timber and pulp and paper industries and can be used to obtain fluff pulp for absorbent paper products for sanitary purposes from oil flax straw. Air-dry fibrous mass from oil flax straw is exposed to 0.5-4.0% sodium hydroxide solution at a temperature of 93-98°C for 100-140 minutes, the mass is filtered and neutralized by washing with water. Then the mass is exposed to a 1.0-2.0% hydrogen peroxide solution at a temperature of 90-94°C for 60-70 minutes, the mass is filtered, washed with water and dried in a convective way.
EFFECT: obtaining fluffy material with high rates of water absorption and whiteness, with reduced density and the absence of impurities, for use in the manufacture of sanitary and hygienic products.
