DEVICE FOR CONNECTING SMOOTH PIPES Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC F16L19/00

Abstract RU 2786862 C1

FIELD: mechanical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of mechanical engineering, namely to the connection of smooth pipes replacing the flanged and welded joints of the ends of pipes facing each other, and in particular to the units and assemblies of pneumatic hydraulic systems, and is intended for the hermetic connection of pipelines in industrial and transport power plants with increased requirements for the manufacturability of the design adapted to multiple dissection and multiple replacement of the seal. The device contains a housing having symmetrically arranged internal cylindrical grooves for installing a sealing cuff in each of them. The device consists of a connection kit for each of the pipes, which are in functional and structural unity of an elastomer sealing cuff, before installation exceeding the outer diameter of the pipes to be connected and a length equal to the diameter of the pipe to be connected, in cross section having the shape of a wave line, a protective washer made of polymer material, before installation exceeding the outer diameter of the connected pipes in size pipes, having a cross-section in the form of a rectangle and a cut made at an angle to the axis of the washer, a collet sleeve, before installation the outer diameter of the pipes to be connected is larger in size, with a length that ensures the integrity of the pipe to be connected, having two conical surfaces on the outer part, a thread made on the inner surface, and an axial incision, installed in the enclosing cylindrical housing. The protective washers are installed in the inner cylindrical groove of the housing, in which conical grooves are made for the installation of collet sleeves, internal threads for screwing in pressure fittings made in the form of a housing having an external hexagon head, an external thread, an internal hole equal to the diameter of the maximum pipe to be connected, and an internal groove with a counter cone equal to the outer cone of the collet sleeve.

EFFECT: possibility of connecting pipes with deviations in outer diameter, deviations from roundness, in particular ovality; the possibility of connecting pipes with a minimum wall thickness of the pipe; as well as the ability to carry out more dense laying of the connected pipes in cramped conditions while maintaining the reliability and safety of the pipe connection of the ends of pipes facing each other in pipelines or tubular elements.
