FIELD: organic chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of organic chemistry, namely to a new derivative in the series of indoline spiropyrans. Presented 1,3,3-trimethyl-5-methoxy-6'-bromo-8'-[(E)-2-(1'',3'',3''-trimethyl-5-methoxy-3H-indolium-2''-yl)vinyl]-spiro[indoline-2,2'-2H-chromene] iodide of formula 1.
EFFECT: invention provides an increase in the lifetime of the open form of spiropyran in the series of 1,3,3-trimethylspiro-indolino-2,2'-[2H]chromenes with substituents in the benzopyran fragment and can be incorporated into an anionic magnetic sublattice as a photochemical molecular switch.
