Shaving system contains a shaving apparatus with a shaving unit, as well as a cleaning apparatus for cleaning the shaving unit. The shaving unit has at least one hair-cutting unit. The hair-cutting unit includes an external hair-cutting element and an internal hair-cutting element. The external hair-cutting element includes an annular shaving track with hair entry holes. The cleaning apparatus has a liquid injection nozzle. Said nozzle is located in the receiving socket of the cleaning apparatus for creating a jet of cleaning liquid. The cleaning jet passes directly through the hair entry holes of the shaving unit only in one sector of the annular shaving track of the external hair-cutting element, wherein said element extends to no more than half of the length of the annular shaving track.
