SUBSTANCE: invention relates to lifting devices for movement of blocks. An energy accumulation system includes a crane and a set of blocks, where the crane is made with the possibility of movement of blocks from a lower mark by height to a higher mark by height by stacking blocks, as well as with the possibility of movement of blocks from a higher mark by height to a lower mark by height by disassembling block stacks. The energy accumulation system can, for example, accumulate electricity generated by a solar power plant in the form of potential energy in stacked blocks in the daytime, when solar energy is available, and can transform potential energy of stacked blocks to electricity at night, when solar energy is inaccessible, and, thereby, supply transformed electricity to a power system.

EFFECT: accumulation of electricity in the form of potential energy of blocks is achieved.
