FIELD: absorption of gases.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of ecology. Proposed is a method for absorbing carbon dioxide CO2 and other greenhouse gases from the atmosphere using roads, forming stable chemical compounds that are safe for humans and for the environment. Adsorbents made to absorb CO2 and other greenhouse gases are added to the surface layer of the road. Herewith, a road is understood as road surface of any type, including a vehicle roadbed, a railway roadbed, runways and fields for aerial and space vehicles, bicycle and pedestrian paths. For existing roads not in need of repair, during the repair of old roads, or when building new roads, the adsorbent is included in the surface layer of the roadbed as one of the components of the applied mix. For railway roadbeds, the adsorbent is applied directly by spreading the substance over the railway embankment. Artificial or natural substances such as brucite are used as an adsorbent.
EFFECT: higher scale of absorption of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.
