FIELD: logging.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates without limitation to the field of logging, in particular to a noise elimination method and noise elimination apparatus for a measurement while drilling (MWD) system, and a data carrier. A noise elimination method for a measurement-while-drilling (MWD) system is proposed, comprising: receiving a received mud signal and determining a characteristic frequency of the periodic noise signal in the mud signal (301); performing a Fourier transform on the mud signal to obtain a mud signal in the frequency domain (302); and obtaining, according to a characteristic frequency of the periodical noise signal in the mud signal, the mud signal in the frequency domain, and the predetermined rejection factor, a noise-removed frequency domain mud signal output (303).
EFFECT: increasing the efficiency of eliminating noise in case of periodic noise interference and, as a result, increasing the information content of drilling fluid signals.
