FIELD: powder metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy, in particular to the production of Sn-Ti alloy powder and superconducting wire from it. The Sn-Ti alloy is melted and sprayed through a nozzle in an inert gas atmosphere to obtain an Sn-Ti intermetallic compound with an average particle size of not more than 3 μm and a Ti content in the alloy from 0.5 to 3 wt.%. The superconducting wire is obtained by making a module or spacer from Sn-Ti alloy powder, placing the module in a Cu tube, and forming the wire by drawing. The module is formed by pressing or extruding the Sn-Ti alloy powder, or by introducing the Sn-Ti alloy into the Cu tube and then drawing.
EFFECT: invention provides an increase in mechanical and superconducting properties.
