FIELD: gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: gas liquefaction installation (1) contains compressor (2) made with the possibility of increase in gas pressure to obtain compressed gas; cooling device (3) connected in a hydraulic way to compressor (2) and made with the possibility of cooling of compressed gas; expansion unit (6, 10, 20), which is connected in a hydraulic way to cooling device (3), made with the possibility of reduction in pressure of compressed gas to obtain liquefied gas; refueling station (4) connected in a hydraulic way to expansion unit (6, 10, 20) and made with the possibility of filling of cryogenic tank (5) with liquefied gas. Expansion unit (6, 10, 20) contains piston expander (6) containing expanding chamber (7), which passes along first axial direction (A) and has inlet and outlet mouth (8) and piston (9) located in expanding chamber (7) and made with the possibility of sliding inside expanding chamber (7) along first axial direction (A).

EFFECT: increase in the resulting fraction of liquefied gas.
