FIELD: vegetable oils.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the essential oil industry, in particular, to methods for extracting essential oils. Method for producing an essential oil compound from Heracleum sosnowskyi seeds in vaseline oil, characterised by using whole August seeds of Heracleum sosnowskyi as the source material; extracting with chemically pure petroleum ether is carried out in a Soxhlet extractor at a volume ratio of chemically pure petroleum ether to source materials 4:1; extracting five times while heating the chemically pure petroleum ether to the boiling point of 40 to 70 °C for 40 minutes; then evaporating the solvent until the volume ratio of petroleum ether to essential oil of the seeds of Heracleum sosnowskyi is 2:1, treating with vaseline oil at a volume ratio of essential oil of the seeds of Heracleum sosnowskyi in chemically pure petroleum ether to vaseline oil of 1:1; and removing the chemically pure petroleum ether by evaporating at atmospheric pressure.
EFFECT: possibility of producing an essential oil compound from Heracleum sosnowskyi seeds in vaseline oil at a volume ratio of essential oil to vaseline oil of 1:1 by a simpler method with sufficient reproducibility.
