FIELD: catalysts.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for partial regeneration of a catalyst for converting methanol and/or dimethyl ether into olefins and to a method for converting methanol and/or dimethyl ether into olefins using a partially regenerated catalyst. Method for partial regeneration of a catalyst for converting methanol and/or dimethyl ether into olefins includes the stage of passing a mixed gas into a regeneration zone containing a catalyst subject to regeneration, followed by conducting a partial regeneration reaction in order to produce a regenerated catalyst. The mixed gas contains water vapour and air, wherein the water vapour to air volume ratio in the mixed gas is in the range from 1:0.01 to 1:0.5. The volumetric flow rate of water vapour in the mixed gas passed into the regenerator is in the range from 0.1 to 10 h-1, and the volumetric flow rate of air is in the range from 0.01 to 6 h-1. At least part of the regenerated catalyst in the regenerated catalyst has a content of coke greater than 1 wt.%. The contact of the mixed gas with the catalyst subject to regeneration in the partial regeneration reaction last from 10 to 200 minutes.
EFFECT: production of a partially regenerated catalyst for converting methanol into olefins with a higher selectivity for olefins.
