FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for methanol to olefin conversion. According to the method, the methanol to olefin conversion reaction is executed in a fluidised bed using a partially regenerated methanol to olefin conversion catalyst, wherein the coke content in the partially regenerated catalyst is from 3.89% wt. to 6% wt., and the partially regenerated catalyst is obtained by a method comprising : placing a deactivated methanol to olefin conversion catalyst in a regenerator; partially regenerating the deactivated catalyst by gasifying the coke deposited on the deactivated catalyst, using a regeneration gas constituting water vapour, to obtain a partially regenerated catalyst; wherein the regenerated catalyst constitutes a SAPO-34 molecular sieve-based catalyst.
EFFECT: production of a partially regenerated catalyst by a one-stage method, exhibiting improved initial selectivity for light olefins.
