FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a hot-dip coated steel substrate and a method for making the coated steel substrate. The coated steel substrate has a coating in the form of an Sn layer, directly over which a zinc or aluminum-based coating is applied, while the steel substrate has the following composition, wt%: 0,10≤С≤0,4, 1,2≤Mn≤6,0, 0,3≤Si≤2,5, Al≤2,0 and optionally one or more elements such as P<0,1, Nb≤0,5, B≤0,005, Cr≤1,0, Mo≤0,50, Ni≤1,0, Ti≤0,5, the rest is iron and inevitable impurities. Moreover, the steel substrate additionally contains from 0.0001 to 0.01 wt% of Sn in the region extending from the surface of the steel substrate up to 10 mcm. The method of manufacturing a coated steel substrate includes the following steps: A. obtaining a steel substrate having the specified chemical composition; B. deposition on a steel substrate of a coating consisting of Sn; C. recrystallization annealing of the precoated steel substrate; D. hot dip coating based on zinc or aluminum.
EFFECT: high wettability and high adhesion of the coating.
