FIELD: magnetic control.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for magnetic control of plasma in D-shaped tokamaks (toroidal chambers with magnetic coils) with feedback. D-shaped tokamaks are elongated vertically to increase the gas-kinetic pressure of the plasma, which leads to vertical instability of the plasma. In this case, the unstable vertical position of the plasma is subjected to magnetic control by means of a horizontal magnetic field created by the winding of the horizontal field, and the horizontal position of the plasma, by means of a vertical field. The horizontal position of the plasma is stable, but is subjected to the action of repulsive forces due to the gas-kinetic pressure of the plasma and electrodynamic forces, since in a plasma filament, diametrically opposite currents repel each other. The method is designed to control this position, i.e. to stabilize the unstable vertical position of the plasma, and automatically transfer it from one state to another, as well as to stabilize the horizontal position of the plasma with a change in its position in accordance with the setting action.
EFFECT: increasing the accuracy and speed, reducing the control power, the level of generated noise, maintaining a constant frequency for controlling the vertical position of the plasma in tokamaks.
