FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to passenger conveyors. Passenger conveyor includes a conveyor belt with a longitudinal length in the direction of movement and a guard rail on at least one side of the conveyor belt. The guard rail extends in at least separate sections on the side next to the conveyor belt and has at least two guard rail sections. At least one opening for the entry onto and exit from the conveyor belt is provided between two consecutive sections of the guard rail on the side next to the conveyor belt. The opening is defined by the ends of the guard rail on the guard rail sections. An essentially perpendicular rod protruding upwards above the guard rail is located on at least one of the ends of the guard rail.
EFFECT: possibility of entering onto and exiting from the conveyor belt from the side and possibility of leaning on the guard rail from both sides.
