SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metallurgy. The method for obtaining a carbon-graphite composite material includes vacuum degassing of a porous workpiece in a supersaturated aqueous solution of zinc sulfate with a concentration of 650 g/l at a salt solution temperature of 80°C. After vacuum degassing, the workpiece is dried at 150°C to a constant weight of the workpiece. The pores of carbon graphite are sealed by dipping a workpiece preheated to 400-450°C into an aluminum alloy consisting of 18-22 wt.% zinc, 16-20 wt.% magnesium, 3.5-4.5 wt.% copper, the rest - aluminum, followed by cooling the workpiece in air. The workpiece is impregnated with a melt of a matrix aluminum alloy of the same composition under the influence of excess pressure due to thermal expansion of the aluminum alloy melt when heated by 300°C above the recrystallization temperature of the aluminum alloy. The workpiece is sealed with a lead alloy in a mold at a temperature of 600°C.
