FIELD: power industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the control of the technical condition of high-voltage equipment for energy purposes, in particular to cubicle switchgear (CS) for the nuclear power plants’ own needs. Essence: before putting the CS into operation, a calibration heat source with a temperature equal to the maximum permissible temperature of the working element of the CS is installed inside its housing. After stabilization of the thermal regime of the CS, the temperature field of the surface of the body fragment is determined. After removing the calibration source from the device housing and putting it into operation, when the thermal regime is stabilized, the temperature distribution over the surface of the fragment of the device housing is recorded. According to the most probable values of the surface temperatures of the fragment of the controlled device in calibration mode and in operation, the appearance of a defect and the degree of its development are judged.
EFFECT: possibility of detecting the formed defects of the elements of the CS during its operation, the accuracy of determining defects and the safety of control.
