SUBSTANCE: device, which includes a video camera, is additionally equipped with an infrared illuminator and a filter, a pre-processing module, a reference database, RAM, modules for recognition, authentication, programme memory, an input-output controller, a proximity sensor, a communication module and a network, a cloud computing platform, a database, a terminal, a touch screen. At the same time, playing cards are recognized by pre-processing images, detecting a moving object, forming a single image field, recognizing a card area, determining the positions of symbols of the face value and suit of the card, reading data from the RFID carrier, recognizing the face value and suit of the card, initial training of the system, automatic additional training system, statistical analysis of the implementation of the rules of the game, user authentication, notification of an unacceptable situation in the game and fraudulent activities.

EFFECT: reliable recognition of the face value of a playing card, as well as provisions for work with various types of cards.
