FIELD: sealing devices.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for sealing the socket of a rocket engine nozzle. A device for sealing the socket of a rocket engine nozzle contains a plug made of rubber and in the form of a thin-walled body of revolution, having a spherical section that passes into a section that repeats the profile of the socket and which is connected to the socket by a fastening composition, while the plug is installed with the convex part of the spherical section towards the tapering part of the socket, the plug is made with evenly spaced radial notches, while the notches do not pass through the section that repeats the profile, the plug is additionally made with an annular notch, the axis of which is located on the axis of the socket, while the thickness of the plug increases uniformly from the center to the periphery, as an option evenly located radial notches can be made both on the convex part of the spherical section, and on the side opposite the convex part of the spherical section, and the depth of the notches decreases uniformly from the center of the plug to its periphery, the plug can be made cylindrical a deep lug in contact with the outer cylindrical surface of the socket, while the lug is connected to the socket with a fastening compound.
EFFECT: invention provides for the destruction of the plug along the notches and the reduction of the impact force on the rocket nodes.
