FIELD: material processing.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a wear-resistant metal part containing metal substrate and coating of hydrated amorphous carbon a-C:H, covering metal substrate. Between metal substrate and coating of hydrated amorphous carbon a-C:H, a sublayer based on chrome (Cr), carbon (C), and silicon (Si) is located, on which the mentioned coating is applied. The mentioned sublayer has following atomic ratios at an interface with coating of hydrated amorphous carbon: the atomic ratio between a silicon content and a chrome content (Si/Cr) is between 0.35 and 0.60, and the atomic ratio between a carbon content and a silicon content (C/Si) is between 2.5 and 3.5.

EFFECT: good characteristics, when testing for adhesion of coating of hydrated amorphous carbon a-C:H by Rockwell pressing-in method by C scale.
