FIELD: engine construction, thermal block of Stirling-cycle engines.
SUBSTANCE: in the thermal block of the Stirling engine, including the displacer cylinder 1 with the piston-displacer 2 installed in it, the heater 3 of the thermal block, consisting of outer 6 and inner 7 cylinders and a cylinder head 8, containing internal cavities 9-11 and connected to form a single volume for the circulation of the hot coolant, the cooler 5 of the thermal block, covering the lower part of the displacer cylinder 1 and formed by a cooling jacket 18 containing inlet 19 and outlet 20 nozzles, and a guide sleeve 15; what is new is that the volume between the side surfaces of the heater 3 and cooler 5 and the displacer cylinder 1 is filled with loose material which has good gas permeability, high thermal conductivity and a large specific surface of the constituent particles. In this case the bulk material is represented by pieces of metal wire, metal shavings, pieces of ceramics.
EFFECT: simplification of the design of the Sterling engine thermal block while maintaining its efficiency.
