SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of artillery weapons. The method for restoring the operability of the magnetic needle of the PAB 2A compass consists in the fact that the device for restoring the operability of the magnetic needle of the PAB 2A compass is connected to an alternating current network, putting the device into working condition, then the capacitors of the device are charged for 10-15 seconds, after which the direction is selected magnetic field "S-S" or "S-S", then the magnetic needle of the compass is magnetized with the corresponding direction of the magnetic field.
EFFECT: reducing the time to restore the performance of the magnetic needle of the PAB 2A compass directly in artillery units without contacting repair shops both in stationary and in the field, maintaining the magnetic needle of the PAB 2A compass in a constant working condition.
