SUBSTANCE: inventions are an oral dosage form with coating providing a perceptual sensation in the consumer’s oral cavity, containing: a core containing acetaminophen, phenylephrine, and dextromethorphan or diphenhydramine; outer coating for fast release, containing hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, in particular, additionally polyethylene glycol, as well as maltodextrin and warming perceptible substance; and intermediate coating containing hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, in particular, additionally polyethylene glycol. Inventions are also a method for the treatment of symptoms of cold, and/or flu, and/or allergy, including administration to a person who needs it of an oral dosage form with coating.

EFFECT: provision of a flavor additive and, in particular, perceptible substance, capable of fast releasing from outer coating, which provides advantage for consumers who need fast relief of symptoms, a calming effect for a consumer, distracts the consumer from disease symptoms, from which he/she suffers, or provides the consumer with a signal that active ingredients in a dosage form are acting or will act soon.
