FIELD: unregulated pedestrian crossings.
SUBSTANCE: inventions group relates to variants of the method for informing and orienting the visually impaired when they cross a section of the road network at an unregulated pedestrian crossing. The method includes the use of radio modules with loudspeakers installed on both sides of the pedestrian crossing and wearable radio devices of pedestrians when the radio devices are in the coverage area of the radio modules. The interaction of radio modules and wearable radio devices of a pedestrian takes place in local radio networks. Reproduction by a portable radio device of a pedestrian of information uniquely identifying the name/location of the section of the road network, for which the given pedestrian crossing is intended to be crossed, is provided. To cross this section of the road network, a wearable radio device, at the command of a pedestrian, sends a data packet to the radio air, which leads to the activation of the loudspeakers of the radio modules. The loudspeakers play verbal messages and audio orientation signals to help the pedestrian find the location of the crosswalk. Before the start of the transition, the wearable radio device of the pedestrian, at his command, sends a data packet to the air, containing, among other things, the identifiers of the radio modules of the transition selected by the pedestrian. After that, both radio modules of this pedestrian crossing through their loudspeakers reproduce oral messages and sound signals of orientation, helping the pedestrian to determine the direction of movement along the pedestrian crossing.
EFFECT: it is achieved that the pedestrian receives information about the presence of an unregulated pedestrian crossing, determines the location of the crossing and orients the direction of movement along the crossing.
