PERCUTANEOUS DELIVERY SYSTEM, USING MICROPOROUS MEMBRANE CONTAINING PORES FILLED WITH SOLVENT Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC A61K9/70 A61K31/445 A61K31/435 A61P25/28 A61F13/02

Abstract RU 2789194 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine, namely to percutaneous delivery systems. The percutaneous delivery system includes: a skin-touching adhesive layer for attachment of the system to the use’s skin; a reservoir drug layer including adhesive polymer, donepezil hydrochloride, and a drug carrier composition; and microporous membrane located between the adhesive layer and the reservoir drug layer. Microporous membrane includes a set of pores filled with a composition for the treatment using membrane, different from the drug carrier composition. The skin-touching adhesive layer contains adhesive based on copolymer of acrylic acid and vinyl acetate, a non-ionogenic surfactant, aliphatic alcohol with a long chain, and composite citric acid ether. The drug carrier composition includes a non-ionogenic surfactant, aliphatic alcohol with a long chain, composite citric acid ether, and a hydrophilic solvent. In this case, the composition for the treatment using membrane does not contain a hydrophilic solvent, and it contains certain amounts of sorbitan monolaurate, lauryl lactate, and triethyl citrate. A method for the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease includes application to the subject’s skin of the percutaneous delivery system, where the specified application leads to the formation of the main donepezil form for delivery to the skin. A method for percutaneous delivery of the main donepezil form includes: use of the percutaneous delivery system and fixation of the system on the user’s skin for delivery of the main donepezil form from the system to the skin.

EFFECT: provision of a means and a method for percutaneous delivery, using which subsequent and efficient delivery of therapeutic amount of donepezil occurs during a long period of time.
