FIELD: refrigerating engineering. SUBSTANCE: working medium for compression refrigerating plants and thermal pumps on base of mixture of R744 (carbon dioxide) and R290 (propane) at boiling point range from minus 50 to minus 10 C and condensing temperature from 35 to 55 C is characterized by mass concentration of R290 (propane) in mixture from 65 to 40%. Refrigerating plant using binary mixture R744-R290 for generation of cold at different temperature levels includes linear receiver, intermediate vessel equipped with internal heat exchanger, throttle valves and evaporators at intermediate and boiling points, heat exchangers mounted respectively after each evaporator, high-stage and low-stage compressors, working medium cooler and condenser. Working medium circulating loop is additionally provided with booster compressor, liquid working medium receiver-separator, low-temperature throttle valve, evaporator and heat exchanger and two automatic after-operating throttling valves. Booster compressor is connected to vapor cavity of linear receiver and to liquid working medium receiver-separator through heat exchanger and vapor cavities of evaporators at intermediate and low boiling points. Receiver-separator is connected with suction pipe line of low-stage compressor through low-temperature throttle valve , low-temperature evaporator and heat exchanger and then through automatic after-operating throttling valve. Other additional automatic after-operating throttling valve is used for connection of receiver-separator with pipe line laid between throttling valve fitted after internal heat exchanger of intermediate vessel and low-temperature evaporator.
