SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radars field and may be used as a radio altimeter for flying objects. A linear frequency modulation radio altimeter additionally contains a 90° phase-shifting circuit, a second balanced mixer, a second difference frequency limiting amplifier, a multiplier, and a frequency doubler.
EFFECT: invention increases the resolving power, sensitivity and maximal measured altitude.
