FIELD: precious metal metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to precious metal metallurgy, in particular to processing of antimony gold cathode sludge, which contains impurity metals, including antimony, and allows to obtain ligature gold with minimum allowable content of impurities in accordance with the requirements of refining production for application of minimum refining rates. An antimony gold cathode sludge processing method includes impurities leaching followed by filtration of the obtained solution, obtaining filtrate and insoluble gold residue followed by the residue drying, oxidation roasting and smelting, the antimony gold cathode sludge impurities leaching is performed in the nitric acid and tartaric acid solution or in at least one of tartaric acid solution salts, the antimony is dissolved in the solution as a soluble compound, the slag received during roasting is charged with borax and soda and smelted to receive ligature gold, and the slag received during smelting is dissolved in the filtrate to extract gold from slag.

EFFECT: invention provides for shorten antimony and other impurity elements transition from antimony gold cathode sludge to the final product that is a ligature gold, and to eliminate gold losses during the gold extraction from antimony gold cathode sludge.
