The radiation monitor contains a detection unit, while the detection unit contains a proportional neutron counter based on 3He, placed in polyethylene, surrounded by a layer of cadmium 1-1.5 mm thick, connected to a charge-sensitive amplifier and a high-voltage power supply, the charge-sensitive amplifier is connected to a lower-level discriminator, which is connected to a peak detector, which is connected to a microprocessor and analog-to-digital converter, the output of the detection unit is connected to the power supply and control unit.
EFFECT: decrease in the threshold for detecting radioactive radiation, an expansion of the scope of the radiation monitor.
