FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: peak detector, two switches and a control circuit, and an analogue-to-digital converter calibrated for the photon radiation energy in the 40 keV-3 MeV region are added into the circuit of the device, and in the method for determining the equivalent dose rate this region is divided into six energy zones, each of them and according to the previously measured calibration curve, the equivalent dose rate is determined.

EFFECT: increasing the efficiency of the device, expanding the scope of the radiation monitor.
