FIELD: analytical chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to analytical chemistry, namely to a method and a device for determination of a concentration of an inhibitor of deposition formation in mineralized water. The method for determination of a concentration of an inhibitor of deposition formation in mineralized water includes analysis, carried out using an electrode selective to calcium/magnesium ions, of a dialyzed first sample of mineralized water and analysis, carried out using the electrode selective to calcium/magnesium ions, of a dialyzed second sample of mineralized water, to which an inhibitor of deposition formation is added at the known concentration, and determination of a concentration of the inhibitor of deposition formation in mineralized water based on the specified analysis, while dialyzed samples of mineralized water are obtained by dialysis using semipermeable membrane, which has a pore size equal up to 10,000 Da.

EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of determination of a concentration of an inhibitor of deposition formation, as well as possibility of determination of a concentration of the inhibitor of deposition formation by a bypass procedure.
