FIELD: firefighting.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method for containment and extinguishing of fire in an arctic module, as well as to a structure of an arctic module for implementation of such a method. The method for containment and extinguishing of fire in an arctic module includes blowing of a burning volume with a fan pumping an external air jet, with removal of combustion products and dosed supply of snow or sprinkled water to the pumped jet. At the same time, controlled deflection of a direction of the pumped jet is performed to cool structures of the arctic module. The structure contains a fan with a normally closed hatch, an exhaust normally closed hatch, and devices for opening hatches and launching the fan, while a fan is also made in the exhaust hatch. In this case, both fans are made with the possibility of deflection of the jet pumped by them and the possibility of operation in a combustion product extraction mode, hatches or doors for firefighter entering are made in walls of the module, and a normally closed hatch for release of combustion products is made in a middle part of the module.
