SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a technology of purification of natural gas containing carbon dioxide. A system for preliminary processing of natural gas for a liquefaction installation or an installation for separation and extraction of natural gas includes: a carbon dioxide removal unit, a water removal unit, with the possibility of removing the water contained in natural gas by passing natural gas after its reduction to a compacted layer containing a water adsorbent, a compacted layer contains carbon dioxide adsorbent. The system for preliminary processing of natural gas additionally contains a unit for measuring a carbon dioxide content at an output side and a control unit made with the possibility of increasing a volume of absorbing liquid circulation in the carbon dioxide removal unit or reducing a volume of natural gas recycling.
EFFECT: provision of more complete removal of carbon dioxide.
