FIELD: aircraft.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to weaponry and means of radiation, chemical, and biological protection. Disclosed is method for sampling soil using a soil sampler for a helicopter-type unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), wherein the vehicle is launched and, after moving to the sampling site, lands on the soil surface; at the operator's command, the electric motor of the helical screw is activated, the linear drive is activated and it buries the electric motor and the rotating helical screw into the soil to a preset depth using the electric motor carriage, thereby drilling; wherein a first pass of the helical screw is made into the soil containment cavity of the soil sampler, loading part of the soil into the container by a reciprocating method; the final pass of the helical screw loads the remaining soil into the container, the linear drive lifts the carriage, and the system is deactivated; after sampling, the UAV is transported to the operator's location, wherein the possibility of losing the sample using this method for returning the vehicle to the initial position is excluded due to the limiter provided in the container for transporting soil samples; and upon return, the container is separated from the body of the soil sampler by means of a fastener, overturned, and the soil sample is poured into a jar.
EFFECT: creation of a mobile soil sampling apparatus allowing for prompt control of the degree of contamination with radioactive or toxic substances and with biological agents on remote commands from the operator at a great distance using a UAV.
