FIELD: medicine, veterinary science and biology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, veterinary science and biology and concerns the prediction of enteral insufficiency in peritonitis. A sample of intestinal tissue is taken and its immunomorphological staining is carried out; for this, the sample is fixed, embedded in paraffin, sections are made, they are deparaffinized and antigens are unmasked. After that, the sections are incubated with antibodies to OxPhos Complex IV subunit I at a dilution of 1:200 in a humid chamber at a temperature of 25°C and an incubation time of 60 minutes, then treated with Alexa fluor 568 goat anti-mouse IgG developing agent. In the presence of enterocyte staining, the prognosis of the outcome of enteral insufficiency is considered favorable, and in its absence - unfavorable.
EFFECT: proposed method provides the possibility of predicting the outcome of enteral insufficiency both in experimental conditions and in clinical conditions.
