Then the patient is laid on his back and the oral cavity is checked for foreign bodies or false teeth. Next, the patient is inserted into an endoscopic mouthpiece equipped with a fixing tape. The fixing tape is attached to the back of the patient's head. A Guedel air duct is installed. In this case, the air duct flange located at the proximal end is pressed against the outer surface of the outer lobe of the mouthpiece. When installing the Guedel air duct, its convex part is directed to the lower incisors, and the distal end to the upper palate. After that, a rotational movement is carried out and the convex part of the duct is turned towards the upper sky. In this case, the end of the duct is located behind the root of the tongue in the oropharynx. Then the Guedel duct is fixed in this position with a gauze bandage, which is tied under the flange. The free ends of the bandage are tied at the back of the patient's head.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to securely fix the patient's upper and lower jaws, to ensure the stability of the Guedel air duct bite block to deformation when the jaws are compressed, to minimize efforts during temporary removal and re-installation of the air duct if it is necessary to perform bronchoscopy using oral access.
