FIELD: ice production.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of ice production by freezing water due to artificial cooling, for example, for the manufacture of composite ice slabs or blocks, using vacuum. The method for creating composite reinforced ice is based on layer-by-layer freezing of ice layers at negative air temperatures below minus 5°C. The ice block is made in a sealed cell or mold with the obligatory alternation of layers of pure ice, starting from the bottom of the cell or mold, and layers of ice reinforced with cottonine. Freezing of reinforced ice layers is carried out by placing cottonine on the surface of a previously frozen layer of pure ice with further filling of cottonine with water in the required amount and the process of cyclic evacuation of the ice block before freezing the layer. After freezing the cottonine-reinforced composite layer of ice 10…15 mm thick, a layer of pure ice 10…15 mm thick is formed on its surface, which is frozen in 4…5 approaches by pouring layers of water no more than 4 mm thick and freezing them. In order to save cottonine, it is mainly placed in a reinforced ice block in the areas of mechanical tensile stresses that will arise during its further operation.
EFFECT: increasing the strength of ice composite materials rationally reinforced with natural non-woven material cottonine, as well as ensuring high stability of the strength characteristics of ice composites due to vacuum treatment, which ensures the removal of unwanted air inclusions from cottonine during the reinforcement process.
