FIELD: composite materials.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the materials based on an ice matrix and reinforcing fillers for use in the construction of ice crossings, dams, structures. The composite material based on the ice matrix and basalt fibre comprises 0.8 wt.% basalt fibre 40 mm long and 18 mcm in diameter, the rest is fresh ice.
EFFECT: increased tensile strength in bending, in comparison with fresh ice, by 1.5 times and increased durability.
