SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of composite materials based on ice matrix and cellulose particles. Method of producing a composite material based on an ice matrix reinforced with cellulose particles involves obtaining cellulose particles from microcrystalline cellulose by wet grinding in a planetary mill, subsequent ultrasonic dispersion in distilled water and freezing of ice blocks at temperature of -10 °C. To obtain cellulose particles, microcrystalline cellulose with a median particle size of 20 mcm is used, the ratio of the initial microcrystalline cellulose and grinding bodies is 1:30, and duration of grinding of microcrystalline cellulose is 30 minutes.

EFFECT: higher strength of composite material at uniaxial compression.
