FIELD: forestry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of forestry. A method is proposed to increase seed germination and stress resistance of coniferous seedlings by pre-sowing seed treatment with optical radiation, which uses the radiation of a pulsed copper vapor laser that simultaneously generates light of two wavelengths: green 510.6 nm and yellow 578.2 nm with a total pulse power of 10 kilowatts, a repetition frequency of 10 kHz and a pulse duration of 15 nanoseconds.
EFFECT: invention ensures the withdrawal of seeds from a dormant state as early as 1.5 hours after laser exposure, makes it possible to accelerate the process of seed germination and increase the percentage of seed germination, promotes functional changes in seeds, leading to increased plant resistance to adverse environmental factors.
