SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to element 10 of a body equipped with an engine of ground vehicle 200 and to a vehicle with such a body element. The body element contains at least one wall 20 made of plastic and at least one case 90 forming cavity 80 for electromagnetic waves. Mentioned case 90 contains at least one transceiver 50 for transmission and/or reception of an electromagnetic wave in specified case 90, at least one adaptive surface 60 capable of deflecting an electromagnetic wave emitted with transceiver 50 in a given direction (in a controlled way) and, otherwise, deflecting an electromagnetic wave coming from the outside of case 90 in a direction of transceiver 50. Adaptive surface 60 contains a set of adjustable elements 62 for changing impedance of this adaptive surface 60 and for changing a method, by which an electromagnetic wave is deflected and/or transmitted with this adaptive surface 60.

EFFECT: possibility of use of only one directional antenna capable of transmitting and/or receiving an electromagnetic wave in a given direction from a large area (relatively to dimensions of a body element itself).
