FIELD: shipbuilding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of protecting ships from electrocorrosion under the influence of hull alternating currents induced by on-board three-phase electrical systems. On a number of ships, such currents have a much stronger effect on the rate of development of corrosion processes than direct hull currents caused, for example, by galvanic couples. A method for protecting ships from electrocorrosion is proposed, in which each of the three dielectric structures that isolate a separate phase of on-board three-phase electrical systems from ship hulls is brought into current resonance with a newly connected circuit containing a compensating choke and connected in parallel with this dielectric structure.
EFFECT: invention contributes to the protection of the ship from electrocorrosion under the influence of hull alternating currents.
