FIELD: turbine engineering.
SUBSTANCE: device for cooling the steam inlet branch pipe of a steam turbine cylinder, including a cooling shell, contains a bushing with a helical single-start groove for intensifying heat exchange with an installed cooling shell, consisting of at least three annular screens coaxially located between the bushing and the steam inlet assembly, forming chambers for steam movement, fixed by fastening thrust bandages, a fitting through which the cooling vapor flowing through the helical single-start groove of the sleeve from the inter-casing space returns back to the flow path into the chamber with a lower pressure, a split removable skirt, which is part of the sleeve, together with a shoulder, which is part of the steam inlet assembly, in the channel of which a seal in the form of a piston ring is installed, for centring and assembling the steam inlet assembly and fixing the sleeve in the cylinder, and a nut with an external thread for fixing the device in the cylinder.
EFFECT: possibility of using simpler steels for the outer casing of the cylinder; no loss of turbine power; reducing the risk of cracking of the cylinder body from thermal unevenness.
