FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to dermatovenereology. At the first stage of treatment, a 2% aqueous solution of boric acid is evenly applied to the affected areas of the face twice a day, in the morning and in the evening. In 30 minutes, a uniform layer of 0.1 mm 15% azelaic gel acid is applied to the skin of the face twice a day for 7 days. At stage II, there is a switch to 15% azelaic acid gel applied twice a day with a layer of 0.1 mm on dry, pre-cleansed face for 8 weeks.
EFFECT: method provides for a reduced resolution of inflammatory elements, improved therapy tolerability due to a reduction of local adverse reactions in the form of skin irritation, erythema, increased burning sensation and itching associated with the isolated use of azelaic acid in facial papulopustular dermatosis (rosacea, acne, perioral dermatitis).
