METHOD FOR ASSESSING EFFECTIVENESS OF TREATING PAPULOPUSTULAR ROSACEA USING TOTAL ANTIOXIDANT ACTIVITY AND TOTAL OXIDATIVE CAPACITY OF SERUM Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC G01N33/49 G01N33/52 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to dermatology and clinical laboratory diagnostics, and can be used for evaluation of clinical effectiveness in papulopustular rosacea subtype. Venous blood of the patients is sampled and the level of antioxidant system elements is analysed in dynamics. As indicators are defined: total antioxidant activity of serum before treatment (TAA¹), total antioxidant activity on 30th day of treatment (TAA²), total oxidative capacity of serum before treatment (TOC¹) and total oxidative capacity on 30th day of treatment (TOC²). Calculating the ratio of TAA¹/TOC¹ and TAA²/TOC². Difference between ratios TAA²/TOC² and TAA¹/TOC¹ is calculated. If difference is 0.5 and more, the treatment is considered to be effective. If the difference is less than 0.5, it is considered to be ineffective.

EFFECT: method enables to reduce labour intensity; improving the accuracy of evaluating the effectiveness of treatment, early correction of the therapy in case of ineffective evaluation of the treatment by examining the complex parameters of the antioxidant and oxidative systems.
