FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely therapeutics, cardiology and rheumatology, and can be used for predicting the development and non-clinical diagnostics of the left ventricular systolic dysfunction in patients with ankylosing spondylitis, including determining the duration of the disease, the stage of sacroiliitis, the presence or absence of extra-articular manifestations of ankylosing spondylitis, after which the probability p of the occurrence of an elevated level of MMP-9 is determined by a formula. At the obtained p values >0.5 a blood test is performed to determine the level of MMP-9, if it is above the norm (150 ng/ml), the patient shows a high probability of developing the left ventricular systolic dysfunction in the coming years and needs to have the function of the myocardium checked regularly and carefully.
EFFECT: invention provides an effective method for predicting the development of the systolic dysfunction in individuals suffering from ankylosing spondylitis in the absence of a clinical picture of chronic heart failure.
